Synthesized Voice Telephone Auto Alarm Dialer

The Dialer, a synthesized voice annunciator with dialing and DTMF decode ability, is an optional feature of the DFA Telemetry / SCADA System. Generally located at the System Control Computer (SCC) in the Base Radio Modem (BRM) cabinet, the Dialer Card allows warning and notification messages to be directed to 16 different pagers or phones whose numbers have been entered into the Dialer card's 2 calling lists each of 8 numbers.

If a digital or analog value alarms, the DFA Dialer calls the preprogrammed phone number list until an operator acknowledges the alarm by entering a code on a telephone touch-tone keypad or acknowledges the alarm at the SCC by clicking on the HMI graphical display.

The Dialer allows the utility operator direct control of digital input / output points from a telephone or a cellular touch-tone keypad. Pumps may be turned ON / OFF, a valve may be OPEN / CLOSED or the Dialer's settings can be modified. A rotary dial phone can not be used.

The Dialer can be used to affect the control parameters of remote site RTUs within the telemetry system by passing messages and commands to the System Control Computer that communicates the parameter changes to the RTUs in the field.

The DFA LVDialer™ is the HMI user interface to the optional Synthesized Voice Dialer card (above) and an alarm indicator for the handshaking of other software functions of the SCADA system software located on the hard drive of the System Control Computer (SCC).
